Cycling for Women

Cycling for Women

Led by Nicole Cooke, Victoria Pendleton and Rebecca Romero, the world of women's cycling is booming. More women than ever have turned to cycling as a means of commuting to work, as a fun way to get fit and as part of the massive wave of success in British triathlon and cycling.

At Prologue, we are all for equality between the sexes and yet understand that the distinct anatomical differences between men and women need to be addressed by different solutions. To help us provide these solutions, we created Prologue in consultation with female riders, including both competitors and weekend warriors. Among other things, women tend to have narrower shoulders, shorter torsos, wider sit-bones and smaller hands. At Prologue we provide women's bikes and components to specifically address these differences and to make cycling a more comfortable experience for all. When buying a bike, every customer is measured using the Bike Fitting System (BikeFitting.com) and each bike is built to match the individual's specifications.

For women, the key to comfortable riding is in the geometry of the frame, the saddle and the handlebars, all of which are covered by our individual specific bike builds. To complement the women specific bikes, we also have women specific kit, including sunglasses, shoes and clothing.
